Howdy from Vegas again!
Last night after our meetings my buddy AJ took us to a Cirque du Soleil show down on the strip. I have never been to one before and really had no idea what to expect, but it was freakin’ incredible.
Of course being a fitness professional I was totally impressed with the physiques on all the performers and some of their moves were absolutely unreal. At one point there was a guy suspended about 20 feet in the air on a skinny little pendulum thing, balancing upside down one one arm, basically in an inverted push up. It was nuts.
It’s Wednesday morning and I just finished up a training sesh at Gold’s Gym down the street.
I was going to film a video of my barbell complexes this morning but it was apparently international leg day (guys all over the place doing leg press, calf raises and really bad Romanian Dead Lifts) and also international creeper day, so I didn’t get a chance. Lots of peeps in the way and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want strange guys in the background of my videos. So next time 🙂
Anyway, here’s the training session from today:
5 Rounds/5 Reps per exercise (split jerk was 5 per side)
RDL (romanian dead lift)
Split Jerk R
Split Jerk L
Bent Over Row
I rested about 2 minutes between each round. I only used 70 pounds for this as I was going for more speed and doing 40 reps per round was pretty killer.
I’ll be back with a bunch more barbell complexes so stay tuned. These are awesome because you can use them either as a strength session or as more of a conditioning and movement session. Today for me it was the latter as tomorrow I’m back to lifting heavy and hitting some chin ups and push ups.
