Somerville Personal Training Charity Workout: 2/16/13

On February 16th we kicked off the first of many charity workouts at Durbrow Performance Training. Each month we’ll support a charity chosen by one of our clients and host a fun Saturday training session where all donations will go directly to that charity.

Our first charity training session was benefiting Birthday Wishes, a non-profit that hosts birthday parties for homeless children. My client Crystal told me about this organization and I knew right away this had to be our first one. It’s such a great cause and unfortunately one that many people don’t think about.

With the help of 42 clients and friends we were able to raise $590 in that short hour.

The training session was one of our famous “5 Minutes of Fun” workouts. Clients were split up into groups and moved from one station to the next, working at each station for 5 minutes to complete as many sets as possible of the prescribed exercises.
