Congrats to our Client of the Month in Manchester, Hayley!
  1. What is your hometown? I grew up in Quincy, MA until I was 12 years old. Then I moved to Wolfeboro, NH where I lived through college.
  2. What brought you to DPT? I was looking for a gym that offered more than just treadmills and free weights. I knew I wanted to make a change and start exercising, but didn’t know where to start. Saw an ad on Facebook for DPT and took the risk and reached out. Before DPT, the only gym I had ever joined was PF, but DPT offered me classes that I was looking for and has taught me more on fitness and helped me learn more about myself, mentally and physically.
  3. How long have you been training with us? I have been training with DPT for a year and a half.
  4. What do you do in the “real world?” (job, family, pets, etc) I am a Marketing Coordinator for an online Cruise Company. I am currently a proud cat mom of two adorable cats that I adopted about 3.5 years ago 😊. I live with my boyfriend and have one sister.
  5. What is one fun fact that most people don’t know about you? My favorite animal is the Penguin. So naturally every holiday, I get something Penguin related from friends and family. Also, another random fact is that my uncle always ensures to keep orange soda at his house when he knows I’m coming by because I said once that Orange Soda was my favorite when I was about 7 years old.
  6. What is your favorite exercise and why? This is a tough one….my favorite exercise would have to be the Turkish Get Up. To me, it’s just a different type of movement that really works multiple areas on your body.
  7. What is your biggest gym achievement so far? My biggest achievement would have to be squats. It seems like such a small thing, but when I first started, I could not get the stance right to correctly do a squat. It took me months, but after a lot of practice and targets to reach, I was able to do one correctly.
  8. What inspires and motivates you? What motivates me is how I feel after I workout. I’ve learned that I always feel better about myself, mentally and physically, after a workout. Plus, I find that if I go a week or two without going to the gym, I tend to get irritable and tired. So, going to the gym helps keep me energised and less irritable. DPT is also the only gym I have stuck with consistently for the longest period of time. That also motivates me to keep going. At other gyms, I would usually stop going after about a month, but something about DPT keeps me coming back, which I am so grateful for.
  9. What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining or who has just joined DPT? If you are thinking of joining DPT, I would say just take a chance and try it. When I joined, I was scared to try something new and afraid of being judged. I learned quickly that DPT really does create this community/family of people that want nothing but the best for you and will support you, without judgement. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and supportive and truly want to see you succeed. This is going to sound cheesy, but joining DPT was honestly one of the best decisions I made for myself.
