How to Stand Out from the Crowd and Embrace Life

I was sitting here thinking about a post that I wrote a few weeks ago, 61 Ways to Be Your Most Excellent Self and I wanted to branch out on that a little bit. I talk so much about fitness, fat loss, my awesome clients and how to get into great shape, but there’s more to it than that.

You can work out, train hard, eat right and do all of the right stuff but if you have a self-defeating and negative mindset then it’s all for nothing.

For the past several years I have been working with two of the best fitness business coaches in the industry (it’s a very small niche but it’s amazing) to help me grow my business and build a future. When all is said and done, when the dust has settled, it’s all about mindset. I’ve learned that you can have all of the business tactics and marketing skills in the world but if you do not have the right mindset and properly set yourself up for success, you are flat out screwed.

I like to help all my personal training clients see that it is in fact a lifestyle change; mind, body and spirit. I’m not going to get all whoo-whoo on you here but whatever higher power you believe in, you better thank them every day for your amazing life.

So, why stand out from the crowd? Why be different? Why embrace life?

WHY NOT?

Z

So many people just go through the motions and sleep walk through the week just counting down the hours until the weekend. It’s time to break through that. Enjoy your life, the people around you and every single thing that you do every single day.

Create a legacy in your life

Be someone that the people around you can look up to

Tell the truth

Don’t shy away from speaking with someone face to face. Get off the text or email. Talk.

Don’t compare yourself to others, be the very best version of you

Smile every single day

Get out of your comfort zone every day. Do one thing that scares the s*@% out of you

Then get comfortable with being uncomfortable

Your job does not define you

If you hate your job, quit

Yep I said it. Quit. I know dozens of people who quit a job they hated and began to pursue their passion

If you are scared of something just think, what’s the worst that could happen? Then just do it.

Don’t follow others, lead

Set an example for your friends, family and children. I just spoke with a client who told me she got her mom into a fitness training program back in their hometown. That’s one of the best examples of paying it forward especially with fitness.

Don’t be a wimp —>Try this body weight workout (no equipment needed)

Work hard, play hard, laugh and smile every single day
