Get Shit Done, Period

 

 

Hey, Happy Monday…..Callie back here with you and it’s a beautiful day. I’m out here on my back deck with a nice breeze and enjoying the view of the golf course while I get some work done.

I wanted to just drop you a quick bit of motivation for this Monday.

I was thinking about this the other day because I had one of those days where you just don’t want to do shit.

You know what I mean?

However this is life and you can’t just not do it. Well, maybe you can put it off but eventually it needs to get done.

So how do you get yourself past that and actually be productive?

The biggest thing is that you have to stay true to your goals. You have to know what your goals are and know what the big picture is. That will help keep your motivation up.

But that’s easier said that done.

So here’s what you need to do. When you’re feeling unmotivated or just having a day, you just have to take action on one thing.

Just get one thing done, get it out of the way and taking that little bit of action actually starts a small wave of more action. You kick yourself in the butt, essentially, and you start getting more shit done.

A mentor of mine, Chris McCombs at Kick Back Life once said to me that action alleviates anxiety. I always loved that saying because it’s totally true. How often do you put stuff off and it ends up making you feel worse because you get behind, you get anxious and overwhelmed and then nothing gets done?

Just take that little bit of action and move yourself forward.

This can apply to anything in life. Training, nutrition, business, family, your relationships, your job, your social life. Just get shit done.

I was also just reading a really cool blog post by Travis Stoetzel, talking about the Aggressive Lifestyle. Very cool stuff and this got me fired up for my week….
