Body Weight Workouts are NOT for Wimps!

How to Lose Fat with Body Weight Workouts (not for wimps!)

Hey, Callie Durbrow back at you from Ultimate Athletic Fitness. I hope that your fat loss training is on point this week, if not then shoot me a comment on what you’re struggling with and I’ll help you out.

I was out in California last week for a business conference and while we had a pretty nice gym at the hotel, I knew it was going to be PACKED because let’s face it, you’ve got 400 fitness professionals in one hotel, the odds are pretty good. I don’t mind working out in a busy gym but on the first day I just wanted to get in a kick-butt workout in my hotel room and not have to deal with the masses. Sometimes I can be a little anti-social 🙂

Also while I was out there I saw on the news all this buzz about that girl who apparently has the “worst song ever.” Have you heard this Friday song? The poor girl is like 15 and people are sending her death threats. Well, this song is kinda bad but it’s catchy. It was in my head all weekend…..

Onward….

What I wanted to tell you about was my body weight workout. So many times people think that training with just your body weight is super easy. Well I’m here to tell you that if you do it right, it’s one of the most taxing ways to train and work out. Body weight workouts not only give you a new method of training, but they can also help you get more muscle tone In this video I’ll show you the 5 exercises I did that got me dripping in sweat and heart rate pounding (and I used just one piece of equipment that I’m using with all of my clients now).

Do me a HUGE favor and just leave me a comment about your favorite body weight workout, or how you feel about the Friday song 🙂

did this workout with some modifications this morning because i don’t have the tool you were using. Exercise is so much more manageable when you find exercises to do that will get your heart rate up and build muscle in under 10 minutes per session. makes it really easy to squeeze in a workout first thing in the am, on a lunch break and right after work…or even while listening to a conference call at work! thanks Callie 🙂

Hi Callie, I just saw your email and this message. Well, the Friday song is funny although it may sound wack. It kinda wears on you after listening to it for a while. As for working out. I have been unable to due to illness and pain. So I guess you can say I’m a wimp or that my body is wimping out on me big time! 🙂
