Congratulations to our Client of the Month in Somerville: Lori Zasloff!
What is your hometown? Barrackville, West Virginia (Yes I am a hillbilly!)
What brought you to DPT? I came to DPT because I had totally hit rock bottom in regards to caring for myself, gained over 50 pounds in 2 years, short of breath when playing with my kids. I just felt horrible, mentally and physically. It was time for a change.
How long have you been training with us? I started at DPT in May 2018 and am working hard toward that perfect attendance! Loving every minute!
What do you do in the “real world?” (job, family, pets, etc) In the real world, during the week I am a stay at home, PTA and swim team crazed, mom to 5 year old Max and 8 year old Abby. On the weekends, I am a physical therapist working for Partners Homecare
What is one fun fact that most people don’t know about you? ere are 2 facts most people don’t know about me: I met my now husband when I was 15 and a freshman in high school (yes I said I was a hillbilly) and have been with him now for almost 25 years. Second, I am obsessed with anything horror/Halloween based- we host a “witch’s coven” at my home on Halloween and you can hear my cackling down the street!
What is your favorite exercise and why? Two favorite exercises: any type of push up, although most recently the single leg type. Also love the sleds in any shape and fashion. They both make me feel strong and confident.
What is your biggest gym achievement so far? Biggest achievement: Completing the Murph Challenge this past Spring!
What inspires and motivates you? Inspires and motivates me: CALLIE, EMILY, ERIN and JUSTINE, all the woman at DPT and my kids. I am so appreciative to have found this “village” of support!
What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining or who has just joined DPT? As Callie says, “just keep showing up.” The workouts don’t get easier because you get stronger, along with that you get more confident, you want it more. As Emily says, “trust the process!”
