15 Minutes to Toned and Lean Hips and Thighs


Every woman wants sculpted and toned legs and thighs. As a personal trainer in Windham, 100% of the women that are in my training groups list toning their legs as one of the major goals prior to training.

Many women go about training their lower body the wrong way. Stick to machines such as leg extensions, leg curls and leg presses only isolate muscles and do not give you the tight, athletic look that you can achieve in only 15 minutes with this incredible workout.

Not only will this workout sculpt and tighten your legs, it will help you torch high levels of fat because you are working large muscle groups like your quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. The key is to combine movements so that these muscle groups are working simultaneously and not in isolation.

Your body needs to move as a unit to become more efficient and to get the most bang for your buck during a workout. Here is a great lower body and fat burning workout that can be done in just 15 minutes.

Perform this circuit 3-5 times through, depending on your fitness levels. Try not to take any rest between the exercises. Rest for 60 to 90 seconds between circuits.

Lower Body Fat Loss Circuit:
A. Mountain Climbers x30
B. Body Weight Squats x15
C. Reverse Lunges x20
D. Reverse Lunges x20
E. Physio Ball Hip Bridge x15

Be sure to perform a dynamic warm up and stretching series before you begin. Stretch your hamstrings, hips and quads after the training is complete. Perform this workout 2-3 times per week and increase the repetitions after two weeks.
