What brought you to DPT? Needed a change. I was at my last club for 30 years.
How long have you been training with us? Since April 2017
What do you do in the “real world?” (job, family, pets, etc) I’m retired from the city of Somerville’s Rec Department
What is one fun fact that most people don’t know about you? I umpired men’s softball back in the day
What is your favorite exercise and why? KB swing. It’s very challenging but is a whole body exercise. It’s a “bonus” exercise.
What’s your biggest gym achievement so far? Assisted pull-ups
What inspires and motivates you? This year I’m celebrating a milestone birthday (the big 65). I want to maintain a healthy fitness level so I can perform everyday activities with ease.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining or who has just joined DPT? Dpt is a great place to start. The trainers and fellow members are welcoming and encouraging. The workouts are challenging at first, but will get manageable with consistency and patience. Change is hard, but very rewarding. Give it a try!
