Congratulations to our Client of the Month in Manchester: Jessica Jenness!

1.       What is your hometown?

I was born in Stamford CT, my family moved many times before middle school, the last move landed us in Manchester NH. I currently live in Goffstown

2.    What brought you to DPT?

I tend be a care taker of many, and needed a life change where, I invested in myself first! I was recommended to DPT by Promise.  I’m pretty sure I asked about “her” gym a few different times over the course of a year before succumbing to a join a 6 week challenge.  BEST INVESTEMENT OF MY LIFE!!!! – yes, I am yelling that last sentence with all my heart.

3.    How long have you been training with us?

According to Wodify my first class was 11/21/17

4.    What do you do in the “real world?” (job, family, pets, etc)

My husband Aaron and I have been married for 15 years. We are blessed with an fantastic daughter Madeline who is 8, she keeps us moving for sure.  We don’t currently have any pets, however every other day Madeline asks for a dog … so possibly one day a dog will join the fam, maybe we will start with a fish. I work in Software Configuration Management and Quality Assurance at a research and development company.

5.    What is one fun fact that most people don’t know about you?

I got engaged on the Eiffel Tower.

6.    What is your favorite exercise and why?

Ropes with burpees – it is challenging for my whole body, and I feel like I might die before the buzzer (“you can do anything for 30 seconds” 😉 ).

7.    What is your biggest gym achievement so far?

Exceeding the 6wk challenge goal, keeping perfect attendance, and 24” box jump J

8.    What inspires and motivates you?

All of the peeps at DPT. Being the best example for my daughter.  Lastly my mother that struggles daily to be mobile, never complains about it, and always wants the most benevolent outcome for all on the planet.

9.    What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining or who has just joined DPT?

Put self-doubt and judgement on the proverbial shelf, walk thru the door and repeat.  At 40 plus I have been to many gyms and have had personal trainers, none of which hold a candle to the experience DPT offers.  Do and appreciate what your body can do, everyone at the gym will cheer you on an is proud of you for joining the tribe.  Lastly trust the trainers when you are asked to lift a heavier weigh just do it, you will surprise yourself.  You are stronger than you realize physically and mentally.  IT IS THE BEST INVESTMENT OF YOUR LIFE and welcome to the tribe 😉
