What’s in Your Grocery Cart?

Hey I wanted to write you a quick blog post today about grocery shopping. I just got back from Market Basket where I was stocking up for the week. Now that I live out in the country I love Market Basket, it’s not crowded and the deals are amazing. Plus their produce is awesome 🙂

Onward….

I just wanted to share with you exactly what I bought today. This is a little less than I normally get but we had a bunch of meat in the freezer.

Lean Protein Sources:
Grass fed burgers
Chicken sausage

Vegetables:
Tomatoes
Red onion
Green beans
Mixed greens
Baby spinach
Carrots
Cucumbers
Red and orange peppers
Portabella mushrooms

Fruit:
Strawberries
Blueberries
Raspberries

Starches:
Sweet potatoes

Healthy Fats:
Avocado
Coconut Milk (in the can, full fat and unsweetened)

*The coconut milk is awesome for making a whipped cream and topping on fruit, also here’s a delicious recipe. Just be sure to watch your serving size as it does contain quite a bit of fat. You can also use protein powder and I usually don’t use honey, just add 1/2 packet of Stevia….
