November Client of the Month: Rochelle Cantor
Congratulations to our Client of the Month in Manchester: Rochelle Cantor!
What is your hometown? I am originally from Rochester, NY but have lived in Goffstown for 1 ½ years.
What brought you to DPT? I was honestly pretty disgusted with myself. I knew I had to something to get back in shape, have more energy and be a better mom. I needed the accountability and that’s why I chose DPT over other gyms.
How long have you been training with us? I started my challenge last January, but officially signed up in February (I think)
What do you do in the “real world?” (job, family, pets, etc) I am a corporate recruiter and work for an awesome company in Portsmouth and am going back to school for my MBA in Human Resources. Aside from work, I am a mom to my 8 year old and focus a lot of time on her (driving her around) and have even gotten her to do some races with me!
What is one fun fact that most people don’t know about you? When I was two, I had to be put in a straight jacket to get stitches when I nearly bit my lip off because I wouldn’t sit still.
What is your favorite exercise and why? I’d have to say Slam Balls. I am able to get a lot of frustration and power out and challenge myself to see how high I can get the ball to bounce back up to me.
What is your biggest gym achievement so far? DPT has helped me gain a ton of confidence which has allowed me to really challenge myself. Last year I was barely walking a flight of stairs without having to catch my breath. Now I am doing races, flipping tires, pressing 50+lbs, and am so close to hitting 300lbs on the trap bar. There are too many to choose!
What inspires and motivates you? I am definitely motivated by my daughter and being a positive role model for her.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining or who has just joined DPT? To anyone thinking of joining DPT, just do it! Challenge yourself, don’t be afraid, the only person judging you will be you! Keep pushing forward and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
