Olivia Pope? COME ON….so badass

I’m seriously counting down the days until it comes back on for the fall.

If you haven’t watched it, get on that, my friend. Binge on Netflix some Sunday, you’ll thank me.

Olivia has some of the best “quotables” on TV. This was one I wanted you to think about…..

“If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work but you have to try, because if you try and you leap and it doesn’t work out, it’s not on you.”

Let that one sink in for a second.

I’m sure Olivia was talking about her scandalous relationship with the Prez, but even if you’re not in an adulterous situation you can relate. Think about a time when you’ve gone all in, like REALLY seriously.

Did you get results?

I bet you did, and I bet you felt pretty bad ass and accomplished. Now this isn’t some happy clappy
“do your best” and “don’t ever give up” kind of blog post. No way….no my style.

The point IS…..most people are looking for someone else to blame.

An outside “reason” for why losing weight or getting in shape doesn’t work…

-That diet didn’t work
-The workout wasn’t good enough
-My trainer didn’t push me hard enough
-I couldn’t give up bread and cheese

Whatever the story is….I can venture a guess that that lie you told yourself probably included some reason why it WASN’T possible. That’s the problem though (and I do this ALL the time, so I’m not judging at all).

We never go all in and just follow the instructions. We all try to “add” a little more or tweak it. Then when we fail, we have a reason why (even though that reason is total BS).

We just didn’t do the work. But what if we DO go all in?

Then we can confidently say (after following the damn directions) that it didn’t work.

But I’ll betcha that it will work 😉
